The Inkey List Lactic Acid Gentle Exfoliator 30ml

₱750.00Price

This gentle exfoliator is designed to help your skin appear brighter with a more even skin tone, while providing additional hydration. Lactic Acid removes dead cells from the skin's surface, helping it appear brighter and reducing the appearance of fine lines. With moisturizing properties, and added Hyaluronic Acid, it can help to leave the skin softer and smoother. Recommended if you have dryer or more sensitive skin.

KEY INGREDIENTS:

  • 10% lactic acid for mild exfoliation
  • 1% hyaluronic acid for extra hydration
  • PRODUCT FOCUS:

Acids aren't scary, they're a gentle and effective way to exfoliate the skin. But as with everything, ensure you choose the one that's right for you.

Lactic Acid is the gentlest of all of the Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs). If you're new to AHAs or have dryer or more sensitive skin, Lactic Acid is a good place to start. We advise starting with every other night to begin with.

HOW TO USE WITH OTHER PRODUCTS:

AHAs can be combined with most other products. However, there are a few to be careful with to ensure you don't sensitize the skin. When combining with a Vitamin C serum. Both are amazing ingredients that can help with healthy looking skin. For the best results, use Vitamin C in the AM and Lactic Acid in the PM.

Always wear sunscreen when using Alpha Hydroxy Acid.

Due to the exfoliating properties of AHA, and the fact it increases skin renewal, means the top layer of skin is newer, and potentially more sensitive to sunlight. So we always recommend using in the PM and wearing a broad spectrum sunscreen during the day.

    USING WITH RETINOL

If you are also using Retinol in your PM routine, and want to add an AHA, we suggest using these on alternate evenings and start slowly to ensure you do not sensitize the skin.

    USING WITH OTHER AHAS

We would recommend only using one AHA at a time (this includes Glycolic, Alpha Hydroxy and Lactic acids). While they can have slightly different benefits, overuse can lead to over exfoliation and increased sensitivity.

AHAS VS BHAS - WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?

Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) are chemical exfoliators. They work on the surface of the skin, encouraging cell turnover to reveal a brighter, more even complexion. Use in the PM and protect your skin with SPF during the day. Beta Hydroxy Acids (BHAs) are also chemical exfoliators. They work deeper in the pores, helping to target blackheads and reduce the bacteria that can lead to breakouts. Use AM or PM and protect your skin with SPF during the day.
